Shaun by the Sea and Green Insurance Group .... how it all began

In the autumn of 2022 I was invited to a launch event at the Pavilion in Brighton where the Art Trail for 2023 was being announced.

It was a wonderful occasion and very inspiring to be amongst so many supporters of the Martlets. I've supported this charity for many years, both personally and professionally and have been privileged to see at first hand the incredible work they do in the hospice and also in the community. They support not only the person affected by a life-limiting illness but also their family and friends. It's a humbling experience to see exactly what a difference they make.

One of the big goals for The Martlets is to completely upgrade and renovate the current hospice so it is fit for it's purpose over the coming years. Work has started and it's a very exciting project.

But back to Pavilion - when the trail character was revealed as "Shaun" I was a little surprised and, to be honest, I didn't know a great deal about him. My own children are grown-up and in their day it was Thomas the Tank or Bob the Builder! But Shaun soon captured my imagination and I found myself determined that we would be part of the trail.

After persuading our directors of the benefits, we were in! Having previously been involved in sponsoring the Snail Trail for the Martlets in 2018 I knew this would be a fun and engaging project.

So far, that's been the case .... read more on our news links.
